Increasing Credential Completion: Adult Learners, PLA, and the Public Workforce System

The National Association of Workforce Boards (NAWB), the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL), and the ACC Network are presenting a webinar on August 6 at 3 pm EDT focused on how the workforce system can take advantage of prior learning assessment (PLA) to improve outcomes for clients. A recent ACC Network webinar focused generally on improving collaboration between Higher Education and the Workforce system to increase the number of adults who earn credentials. Speakers identified PLA as one potential area on which the two sectors could collaborate.

Join us for this webinar featuring speakers from CAEL, Indiana, and Tennessee to look at the promise and challenges of using PLA in the workforce system. Due to the wide range of participants, the webinar will include a brief background on what, exactly, PLA is before looking more closely at the experiences in Tennessee and Indiana.
