The Council for Accelerated Programs (CAP) is a membership organization serving professionals who lead, teach, and conduct research in accelerated programs in higher education. CAP enhances collaboration and shares best practices and research findings among its members to design and deliver the most effective accelerated learning for adult and nontraditional students. As a key component of its work, CAP has developed a set of quality standards for accelerated programs, divided into nine areas encompassing administration and leadership to student services. CAP’s Quality Standards are designed to guide accelerated programs in demonstrating their quality and rigor for both internal and external accountability purposes. The webinar will provide an overview of the standards and share examples of how institutions have utilized these standards to enhance their accelerated program offerings for adult learners.
